Flunking geography on 'Today'

Ann Curry (no relation) of Today showed recently why the media elite in our country should not be taken seriously on much of anything. I bet even the man they sneer at, George W. Bush, knows where Illinois is on a map.

ANN CURRY: Okay let's talk about the home states because we've got Illinois--

CHUCK TODD: Right.

CURRY (pointing to Minnesota): --which is right here.

(Todd points to Illinois)

CURRY: No, wrong one.

TODD: That's okay.

CURRY (pointing to Illinois): No, wrong one. There we go.

Minnesota, Illinois, what's the difference—it's not New York where us smart people live.
