Except, apparently, when the content could be harmful to a favored presidential candidate. Why, when everyone, including Zell, has recognized that online content is the paper's only hope for the future, would the L.A. Times refuse to release a videotape that would generate huge web traffic?
The L.A. Times belated excuse that it is protecting a source isn't believable.
