Zell: "...24/7 content and information provider"

Here's what Tribune Corporation (Owner of L.A. Times) chieftan Sam Zell said about his newspaper business:

"We are a 24/7 content and information provider that prints once a day for the record."

Except, apparently, when the content could be harmful to a favored presidential candidate. Why, when everyone, including Zell, has recognized that online content is the paper's only hope for the future, would the L.A. Times refuse to release a videotape that would generate huge web traffic?

The L.A. Times belated excuse that it is protecting a source isn't believable.
